As of right now, we have to decide upon accommodation very soon, as it will be booked out fast! So far I am thinking of the first 2 nights in Christchurch, and then we could move on to Queenstown for another 2 Nights, Fox Glacier for max 2 nights (get there by train) and then head north for six nights, getting back to Christchurch on the day we fly out.

Right now, all the bus, train and ferry times are right. So are the tour times at locations. Accommodation will be costing us a maximum of $30 NZD a night, with the average being $23 per night. We will need to buy a one way ticket on either the Tranz Scenic, or the Tranz Coastal. The transportation pass will cover all but one part of the rest of the journey. That is the bus tour that needs to be booked through Qantas.
