Trip of a Lifetime Paris, South Africa, Safari

A trip from June 04, 2007 to August 04, 2007, travelling to Paris, Versailles, Dunkeld West

I'm off to South Africa to volunteer with Artist's Striving to End Poverty but I'm doing a little traveling on my own. First a layover in Paris for 4 days. Then its off to Port Elizabeth to work with the kids until July 15th. Not sure where I'll be from July 16th through July 18th but I know I'll make to Johannesburg by the 19th because I'm off on a 14 day safari leaving very early on July 20th. I return to Johannesburg on August 2nd. Depart for New York on August 3rd and finally hit home sweet home on August 4th.

Hi, I'm trying to decide between Hotel de Nesle and Hotel Esmeralda, any one have any thoughts. Both are very centrally located and both are the same rating and around exactly the same price. Was wondering if anyone has experience with one or the other or both. Thanks so much.

Also, I will be arriving into Charles De Gaulle (CDG) airport, I will have a large backpack and another piece of luggage (I am travelling to Africa after my layover in Paris) and I am wondering the easiest way to get from the airport to this area. How easy is it to travel on the metro with luggage. I am from NY city and know that travelling with luggage and managing the staircases on the subway can be difficult. Are there shuttles to and from the airport and where can i get that information.
