What it the taxi situation in this area? Can we get from Brownsville airport to the hotel in South Padre, then to the wedding & reception in Port Isabel, and back to the hotel all by taxi? Or is in necessary to rent a car.

I did not see many taxi's on island, but there are shuttles from airport to the island. if you stay in hotel on island, u walk or rent bikes
