Also would like to have a place that is not too expensive. Is it best to book before the vacation time or has anyone just driven to the Keys and tried just a "walk in" rate? Does that work or is it expensive??

Would like to have advice on Hotels in Key Largo, Marathon and Key West. Want an ocean view and bars nearby. Is it best to just drive to the hotels at time of vacation and try to get a room then? Worried about the Hurricane Season since we will be going First week of September!

Don't stay at the Key Largo Inn. Worst service I have ever had. Manager is rude and likes to hang up on customers and travel agents.
