You talked a lot about walking around in NYC. I've been told not to do that because you would get mugged. However, I've heard a lot of people talk about doing that. I'm going in Oct for the first time so wondering about that.......please write me a bevo4159@yahoo.com
i was born and raised in brooklyn and it is nothing like it use to be. i lived in brooklyn for 28 years and i am shocked at the change and they are not good ones either. the pizza is not the same as i know it and if you have change it should be for the better.
Yeah it is nearly impossible to see it all in cities like NY, but if you don't mind spending some money on a pizza then Una Pizza Napoletana is fantastic. I also thought P.J. Clarkes was one of my favorite places in all of NY but you will probably have to wait and the bar is typically crowded but it adds to the atmosphere. I would also recommend Pies N Thighs 2 if it opens for something a little different. The Pies N Thighs we went to closed but a new one is being planned.
Last year I went to NY and thought I saw it all, and since I'll be returning next summer I wanted to see what I missed. I've never heard of Una Pizza Napoletana, or PJ Clarke's. Thanks for the detailed heads up on what to get, very helpful!
