Regular trains depart daily from Atocha railway station in Madrid (Glorieta de Atocha; Tel: 91 328 90 20) for Toledo about every two hours, starting at 7:05 a.m. until 8:25 p.m. The trip takes approximately one hour and a half.

The new high-speed train link (the AVE train) between Madrid and Toledo was inaugurated on 15th November 2005. The AVE train takes just 35 minutes to complete the journey and there are 10 trains per day. A single ticket currently costs 8 euros, a day return 12.80 euros and a return for another day, 14.40 euros. The Madrid-Toledo trains leave Atocha station Monday to Sunday at 9:20h, 10:20, 12:20, 13:50, 15:50, 17:50, 19:50
