My Fiance lives in Guangxi Nanning China. I need to know what type of transportation is available from Nanning. Also the closest Airport: Nanning? All information will be greatly appreciated! ONE more thing: What are the laws for USA citizen for marriage in China? Can Chinese leave China to relocate to USA after marriage in China? Please, please I need this information.
Hi welcome to the club. My fiance lives in Nanning as well. I am going there sometime within the next month to marry her. You shouldn't have a problem bringing her to the US after the wedding. If you are going to marry her in China you will need a Affidavit of Single Status. Basically it is a notarized statement that you are currently single. After it is notorized you need to go to your county clerks office to have it certified. Then it needs to be certified by the Secertary of State and finally by the Chinese Consulate in NYC. If you have been divorced in the past then get your divorce papers certified as well. It seems like alot but is required to marry someone in China. After the wedding file a I-130 with USCIS. Right now this takes about 1 year to get the visa however once you have a receipt notice for the I-130 you can apply for a K3 visa which will let her come to the US in about 6 months. You need to file an I-129f to get the K3. Once she gets the K3 she will be allowed to travel back and forth to the US while waiting for the I-130 to be approved.
The closet airport is Nanning-Wuyu international airport. You can't fly directly there from the US. I would recommend flying Air China. You can book it directly from JFK to Nanning with a stop in Beijing.
You can get a taxi from the airport but I would have your fiance meet you there because I understand the taxi drivers don't know street names. They go by location.
hii although british, my fiance is also from nanning.several things to remember to getting there.remember to collect baggage at beijing airport and check it in to nanning flight at internal desk .they dont do straght through. a taxi from nanning airport is around 100 rmb. find out what district your hotel is in. they usually tell you this on hotel website and the nearest major road.alternatively get fiance to meet you as advised
