Thanks for the comment!! The first day is a walk from Trafalgar Sq. to Westminster Abbey and back. My hotel is a block from Covent Garden so that was a no brainer for dinner and some entertainment. The pub (Hereford Arms) was a place I visited last year and I got to know the owner pretty well so I wanted to go back and visit. The pub is near Kensington and a 3 block walk from the Gloucester Road tube station.
The prologue is actually a time trial in the center of London from Trafalgar Sq to Buckingham Palace and then back to Pall Mall. I have wanted to see Le Tour since I saw Greg LeMond win in the 80's. This is my chance to see it in my favorite city! I hope you have a great trip!!
I'm actualyl pretty jealous. I just saw that the Tour De France prologue was from London to Canterbury after I already booked my trip for March. Sounds like a great once in a lifetime experience. p.s. I ripped off your entire first day for my Day 8. :)
