Sounds like you had a great trip. Thanks for the tips and looking forward to some of that pizza. My wife and I are celebrating our 25th anniv. in Portland. Another couple are flying in to help us celebrate. We recently saw Rachael Ray take a trip from Portland down to NH. We are getting in late monday (renting a car) and staying two nights at the Hilton Garedn Inn on the warf. My wife was there two years ago and wants to take me to the Lobster shack that is about 20 minutes south of Portland. Other than that don't have much planned. Any suggesgtions?
OMG...there is so much to do. It is a beautiful time of year to visit Portland. Check out Exchange St. and Wharf St. Also take a trip out to Cape Elizabeth to visit Portland Head Light. The scenery is gorgeous out there. There is also a lobster shak out on the Cape that is yummy! Another place to eat if you like Thai Food is Saeng Thai on St. John St. I highly recommend it. The Duck Choo Chee is to die for. You can take a Ferry out to Peak's Island and rent bikes to ride around it. I hear the Duck tour is lots of fun. If you have time, take a trip to Freeport. Tons of shopping and LL Bean's home store is there. We just moved from Portland a month ago and already miss it!
The kids and I are tagging along with my husband who will be a a conference during the day. So I need to keep three children busy during the day. Ages are 13/11/9. Any ideas? It's tough growing up in the Midwest - not a lot of fresh seafood places here, so I am looking forward to the fresh seafood!
