We'll be spending a week in the South of France, a few days with friends, and 5 days in Paris. We fly in to Nice and will rent a car to drive to Gassin, near St. Tropez. In the south, we are planning on seeing the coast and Provence, getting lots of R&R so we will be well rested by the time we begin our sightseeing in Paris. When we are done with the car we'll drop it off and take the train to Paris.
There are many things we want to do in Paris, I've probably over scheduled, but we want to try to see them all and can always adjust our schedule as needed. I tried to group things by location and interspersed activities and sites between museums. I've left out Versaille from this trip, as I've been there before and wish to spend time experiencing other things.
Any personal recommendations for restaurants in St. Tropez, Gassin, or Paris would be greatly appreciated. We are not fancy diners, we prefer casual bistro type fare.
Any personal recommendations for 'must do or see' things in Provence or the South of France would be greatly appreciated. We definately want to do a wine tour.
I would love to know how this trip went...I thought some of the days seemed light and doing the rodin and the musee de Orsay seemed a bit much for one day.
