A trip from August 10, 2006 to August 19, 2006, travelling to Las Vegas, Boulder City
Las Vegas, Grand Canyon vacation with 8 and 2 year old … More
Las Vegas, Grand Canyon vacation with 8 and 2 year old children. And the grandparents are coming too so we have a chance to go out and act like husband and wife when the kids are down for the evening. :)
We LIVE in Vegas....and NO...there is never anything for kids on the strip!! ALL of the Casinos have their girls dressing SOOOO skimpy now. Naked women are on ALL the billboards, porn cards are handed out on the street, HUGE TV screens are showing music videos on the strip that are extremely dirty, and in some casinos - there are poles that the girls will dance on...for free...while you gamble. Take your children to Disneyland or somewhere where you can create GOOD and happy memories! Why do we live here? My husband is attending the university...which offers his program....and then we are OUTTA here!
I have to go to Vegas the last week of March for a conference (so no point in telling me it's no place for kids--not our choice and no, there is no one for him to stay with for a whole week) I would appreciate advice on where to stay and what the boy (age 6) should do while I'm at meetings. In Boston, Chicago, and San Fran he's had a blast going to children's museums with a sitter. The conference is at the Riviera, which is too expensive. I'm trying to decide betweeen Circus Circus, which is close, and Orleans, which has the kids' club on-site but would probably be too far to pop in on him in the middle of the day. I need to book soon, so would appreciate comments asap. Thanks!
Hi there i'm Vegas Born and raised and i love it heres a couple tips... You have to see LOVE at the mirage its without a doubt the greatest show ever. Also a real fun thing to do would be to go to Red Rock Canyon its tons of fun really nice and theres lots to do (go early like 6 or 7 when its cool because it will get HOT) By the way CIRCUS CIRCUS is fun but im not gonna lie it has gotten a little ghetto in the last few years. TPC at the Canyons is really nice i'm a member hah maybe ill see you there Have a great trip
