My husband and I have been to 4 different Sandals, We LOVE Jamaica! Our first trip was to St Lucia, and although it was beautiful...and service was great...You can not beat the WARMTH and Friendliness of the Jamaican people. We were SO impressed by the people there. I LOVE the warm and fuzzy feeling the people of Jamaica give you! We have SO enjoyed our stays in Jamaica and can't wait to return In Feburary....If you have ANY questions, do not hesitate to call Sandals and TALK to a wonderful representative. They are wonderful and VERY helpful!
I am currently trying to plan a trip to Jamaica, next spring. We went to Hedo III, in Runaway Bay, for our honeymoon in Oct 2001. WOW! In contrast we went to a Beaches, In the Bahamas, same Hotel group as Hedo III, was but it was a far different experience. The Bahama trip would have been much better, if we had not been quite so spoiled by the Jamaica one, so I will scrounge for the little extra to go to Jamaica. I am thinking either Hedo II or posibly Sandals Run Away Bay...One thing is almost certain, I will be booking in a "SuperClubs" resort.
Negril Sandals is AMAZING too! A little closer to the airport in Montego Bay also. I will never go back to Montego Bay!! Our next Sandals is going to be Antigua....unless back to Negril :)
The Sandals Inn in NOTHING like a super 8. Unless they all have a large pool, free drinks, awesome food and great service. Oh don't forget the tennis courts, exercise room and great staff. As to no air conditioning - WRONG! ours was so strong it was below 70 if we wanted. We have stayed at 9 different Sandals and the Inn is nice but not anywhere as nice as Montego Bay, Antigua, St Lucia, Bahamas (including Exuma) or even the way too big Ocho Rios. However for a few nights it is a great way to enjoy Sandals and don't forget to take the free buss over to Montego Bay.
