A trip from September 15, 2006 to September 23, 2006, travelling to Chapel Hill, Nags Head, Outer Banks, …
Start off in Chapel Hill and end up in Charleston, and … More
Start off in Chapel Hill and end up in Charleston, and in between drive down the coasts of North and South Carolina, getting sun, eating good food, golfing, and relaxing.
Don't go to Hymans in Charleston. It is the biggest tourist trap. It is overpriced, the food is not good, and you will wait an hour. Its actually not that busy, they just have many dining rooms and close them off so that there will always be people waiting outside. Charleston has hundreds of wonderful restaraunts in every price range. Ask a local and you will not be disappointed.
Lived in Charleston loved the history there from the real charleston people. the old folks. Not the rich wantabees..Wheather is ok ,but very humit and hot in summer.
I plan on seeing the old Charlston SC. I understand there is a Painting of Pres.George Washington standing next to a Horse .Each and every time I always pick a Weekend and the Building is closed to the public,
Go to Charleston SC. Gorgeous. People are so friendly, nice and helpful. It beautiful there. So many gorgeous fantastic restorations. Then for a really big treat, drive (or walk or ride your bike) across the Beautiful new bridges - onto Sullivan's Island and spend a few hours At Bert's BAR. You wanna talk friendly, great burgers and of course GOOD BEER!
Im planning a trip to Goldsboro then to Alantic Beach actually from NC. I grew up there . You are right what the heck are they talking about that Chapel Hill is close to Nags Head are they nuts it isent near nags head at all ... Three hours drive to get to the beach is abit much since gas is over 3.00 a gal ..
