I am beginning a trip page for my family's Summer 2010 vacation to Texas. We hope to discover and encounter all the historically significant places in between Chicago and Galveston. In all, the 11-day road trip will see us cross seven states. We will begin on August 9 and return home to Chicago on August 19. Among the cities we plan to visit for at least an hour or maybe more are Memphis, Little Rock, Dallas, Arlington, Houston, Galveston, Baton Rouge and Jackson.
