Cross Country Adventure 2009

I hope you gals have a safe and exiting time.3yrs. ago I left Boston heading to Fla.by minivan well not intended but landed in Raleigh NC.90days later.My itentions also was to keep a journal.To no avail.MANY pictures and good memmories.A once in a lifetime experience.Out of 52 states I saw 28.So much for a weeks journey to my original Fla.trip.By the way I love NC.and 4 plus times a yr.I enjoy a mear 12hr.trip to Fla.rather than a three month tour.ENJOY...

The drive from Vegas to California is not that bad. I used to live in L.A and we would drive to Vegas all the time. It is more like 4 hours to L.A. I assume that is where you are going?

I have been wishing to take this trip for a long time now. and i believe when i set the right date for the trip i'll definately take with me a nice blanket and some warm clothes to make sure i don't get the cold. anyway i can't wait to travel soon with my boyfriend.

i think it's nicest trip i will ever have if i decide to travel this coming month i just can't to see the beautiful things that peolpe are talking about.

We are splitting the driving. Usually when we travel I do most or all of the driving, but this is just way too much for one person. We are setting up the back seat for sleep. Blankets & pillows, we also have a portable dvd player for movies, so that the person who just finished driving can lay down and relax, maybe catch a few ZZZZZ's. I will start it off by driving the first 5 or 6 hours, until we get into Ohio and onto route 70, at that time I plan on napping and leave the driving up to my friends for a few hours.

Are you splitting up the driving or is it just the owner of the car?

Your trip sounds very exciting...My wife and I are planning to head out on our annual summer road trip to the great state of Missouri to visit the in-laws. The trip can be pretty much the same so we try and look for new things to visit each time. Reading your trip outline gave me a couple good ideas. One of the best places we have visited so far was Tombstone, AZ (a bit out of the way, but worth it). We live in California and are planning to make a big circle this year, starting on the southern route and then coming home on the northern most route....Anyway, goodluck, drive safe and have FUN!!!
