Flamingo is a decent choice but don't bet your money on a free upgrade unless you are a heavy duty gambler at THEIR casino. I have stayed at the Flamingo several times. The best thing about them is the location. Mystere is a good choice. Just saw it again for the second time and was happy to see that they contantly change the show. The two guys in your posted picture are AMAZING. Have fun and happy 40th!
Hi Susa, thanks for the note! we're back, & we did get an free upgrade, although not to a GO room. We got an Executive Suite on the 28th floor, with a really nice view of the mountains & the pool area. GRIN! I think we got it because we asked, and my husband was holding a $20 bill in his hand on the check-in counter. The check-in person said she couldn't give us a GO room because they "have to show revenue" for those, but she could give us this room. It was worth it.
i am trying to decide on where and what to do. In June my daughter will be turning 21 and this is a trip that she has been wanting to do for so long. It is her first time and I would like to stay somewhere real nice but not so expensive. Any ideas?
Sharon! Great job with getting the upgrade! I will put a $20.00 in my hand next time! Ha! As much as I go there I shouldn't have to pay them off! They have enough of my money. I am sure you had a wonderful time. How could you not right?
I've stayed at the Flamingo many times. I did get a free upgrade to a go room because our room wasn't ready by 4pm. We love the location. They have a great pool, so we spend lots of time in it. In/n/out Burger is good. Imperial Palace has a nice show The Legends that's not too expensive. The best show is Love at the Mirage it's worth the money. Every seat is good!! Have fun!!

*In response to 'me'.. I would like to suggest Excalibur. My boyfriend (myself) & 2 other couples stayed there in 6/08 & loved it. We went to a bunch of other hotels just to check them out but I liked ours the best. I would suggest staying in the more updated rooms. It's a great bargain for the price! And I would definetly stay there again.
