I loved getting out of california and being able to see the northern United States... Utah had some unexplained beauty.. Idaho had soo much greenery i could not believe. Montana had such natural beauty like wyoming for i got to see alot of wildlife and green and some snow.

I plan on leaving CA to MT in a couple of weeks. what was the length time you felt comfortable driving? 10, 12,15,18,20 hrs. did you tandem drive or one person drove the whole way? what advice can you give me?
