I had never been to Myrtle Beach, or really a beach, except when I was in high school on a school trip. i had a really good time. i wish these places would have the good old fashioned mini golfs with the cackling clowns, windmills that block your balls, and all that good stuff. But out of all the golf we played i think I liked the mt atlanticus golf the best. it was pretty neat. i loved playing in the ocean, letting the waves crash over my head and carry me back to the beach :) The trip home was long and I was killed by the time we got to the steps but all in all i had a great time. I think next time I'd like to stay in Myrtle Beach, instead of North Myrtle beach and be around people more my age :)
Its been long time never go fishing since 5years back. I loved surfing, beaches, snaping photograph of sunset and sunrise, fishing and as well shopping. It was a beautiful beach. I plan to visit North Myrtle Beach year ends.
I LOVE Myrtle Beach! We haved stayed in North Myrtle, Myrtle even in the Waccamaw area. I think from North to South it is fabulous! I prefer to stay in the northern section of Myrtle not North Myrtle but almost there. It is primarily residential with a few condo/resorts in the mix. I love this area. I love the quietness of the beaches there. I love all the hoopla of the put put golf, laser tag, etc that is within driving distance. Just my perfect family vacation.
We are owners with the Marriott Vacation Club in Myrtle Beach. I highly recommend staying on the beach if you stay up north. Murrell's Inlet and Surfside are nice too. There are a lot of seasonal/weekly beach house rentals down that way. I suggest using a local map and figuring out the difference between Bypass 17 and Business 17. You may feel like you are zig-zagging a little, but you miss most of the traffic using the Bypass. It makes a HUGE difference when you are trying to get around. We live in Chicago and go down 2-3 times a year and have learned something new each time!
I would highly recommend this vacation to families! My whole family would rent a beach home and stay for two weeks. This location has so much to do and still allows for relaxation. My best memories with my family is here!
