This was an AWESOME trip! The only thing we didn't do was the helicoptor tour over Mt St Helen's. We did spend time at Johnston's Ridge and that was wonderful. We then just decided that we were running a little later than we anticipated due to stopping a Powell's bookstore on the way out of Portland that morning - a worthy trade off! The only disappointment was the Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouer. It was neat - but after seeing the rain forest on the Olympic Peninsula, it was a bit of a letdown. Everything else was outstanding! The biggest surprise for me was the whale-watching trip. It was so much more incredible than I thought it would be! And I became a new granny while I was on the boat! The kids and I saw so many new things! As a side note, we were extremely pleased with ALL of the hotels on this trip. All VERY clean, spacious (except for the Motel 6 - it was a little small but quite serviceable), and everything (and more) that they had promised to be. Use these hotels without fear! All in all it was an absolutely perfect trip!
