spent a couple of years in okinawa(island off tokeyo)with military spouse. Loved it and traveled off island. Had many suits (silk) and dresses made there.cheap too. Brought back bolts of silk from the street markets for more clothes and even curtains later. Miss it.

yes. you could easily go around the country by train and in my experience very efficient. it get expensive yes but stick to ur budget and you shld be fine :)
