Wow! What a thorough journal. Thanks for sharing it. I live south of Tucson and have friends coming to visit so it's great to see it through the eyes of a visitor. Next time you come down, be sure to head south to Madera Canyon (wonderful hiking), Tumacacori Mission (a really old mission established by the missionary who later founded San Francisco--the city), and then on down to Nogales (both USA and Mexico) to see the border crossing and get a sense of what all the flab is about over the illegal "entrants." Once again, thanks for a wonderful journal. Great photos, and engaging writing.

Wow...this travel journal is great. I thought Tucson was just a dusty old college town in the middle of the desert. But I think this would actually be a really neat vacation spot...after the summer, that is!

jhaberer77: Thank you very much for your suggestions! I hope I can visit again soon. I would like to go to Mexico. I have heard that San Carlos (about 4 hours from Tucson) is very nice.

AbeeraK: Thanks!

Surfann: I was staying with two University of Arizona alumni. You're right that Tucson is "a dusty old college town." That's part of what makes it great!

Tinker: Thanks. The system/template is somewhat restrictive, so I appreciate your comment re: the layout.

Mel_Camero: Let me know if you visit Tucson! I am looking forward to reading your entry in to Yahoo! Trips about it. :-)

Writings of Ptolemy: Thanks for you kind comment!

Your trip to Puerto Rico looks great. I have often thought about vacationing there. Maybe I'll try to go in 2009.
