Wow! I am so glad I found this! I lived in Bad Berneck as a child for about 6 months when my father was stationed near there in 1978. What you are describing is just exactly what I remember. I loved hiking up to the castle ruins with my parents, walking through the park, having apple pie at the cafe'. What a wonderful experience! I even remember the arm and leg baths and seeing older people waving their arms in circles! Thank you for posting this!
