It's just a rough outline of the trip I'm planning to do, the only fixed dates are the departure from NY, being in Chicago on October 13 and leaving San Fransisco on October 30. Tips to see or do are welcome!

The trip sounds like fun, but you will go through Kingman before you get to Hoover Dam.

Hi Brave!

I'm from Hungary and I'm just planning a road trip in the USA very similar to yours. Could you give me a rough estimation on the total cost of your trip (including gas, accomodation, food, different kind of fees, etc.) Btw, there were two of yours?

8/7/08 Just started reading today. The arch is 630 ft tall and has a great museum in it.No other attractions? The only free zoo in the country, art museum and forest park(from the 1904 worlds fair), Cardinals and their hall of fame, Bolwing museum and Hall of fame, the A/B brewery(now owned by inbev). And that barely gets you out of Downtown. Next time you're thru here, you can spend days in St. Louis. Love the trip so far
