This is a very good report and I recommend a little extra by visiting Alcobaça,Nazarè & Queluz which can be enjoyed in a one day trip from Lisbon.(Car or bus tour)
Lisbon itself is magic for "the past".
Oh and don´t forget Fatima for those whoare interested.

I have never been to Portugal.Even though I am first generation born Portuguese American to parents from Portugal.They spoke it and we kids never learned.Back than immigrants just wanted to simmilate.But I love to go and will, after seeing these beautiful photos...it is definitely a part of my heart and soul.We ate cod fish all the time, I love it, have you had fried codfish balls.Made with cod and mashed potatoes.Part of my heritage that I have to go see with my own eyes.Thanks again for shwoing the beauty of simple Portugal.
