A lightning trip round Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, via the Hoover Dam. Then driving to Yosemite, San Francisco and Anaheim (Disneyland) via the coast road with an overnight stop at the Kon Tiki in Pisimo beach.
Thank you very much for both the obvious time and effort you all put into this report, sounds as if you had a wonderful experience, Avis excepted! By far the best I've read. Thanks again :-)
I liked what I read. Had a chance to experience Las Vegas in August 2007 for a week on my birthday celebration. I stayed at the Venetian which, to me, was a paradise on earth. Wholehearted thanks to the founder and the person who brought me there. I loved Bellagio's fountain and the strip. Spent most of the time at Ceasar Palace viewing the dancing statues. Had great time with buffets in various places. Loved them all. Had a chance to visit the Venetian in Macau but not so impressed as in Vegas. This report brought the memory in Vegas back to me, my sincerest appreciations to the author from Jan, Bangkok, Thailand.
Brilliant review, really insightful. We're doing the West Coast including Vegas with our children (12 & 9) on on the 2nd July this year until the 19th, flying into Vegas and out of LA, so your review is really helpful. Especailly as we can't currently decide how active we want to be! We usually do Feb half term in the lake district (in the UK) walking every day with the walks getting progressively harder! The kids then spend their summer in spain round a pool with their grandparents (and us intermittently) relaxing. This really helped me get a gauge of where would be good for us and the kids. Thanks!
Yes, Fountains at Bellagio is the 12th wonder of the world while you enjoy a mango sherbet from their ice cream place at the entrance!! I can not visit Vegas without spending at least a couple of hours standing for the show!!
I think traveling is the most exciting think that can happen to you from the first day of planning it to the return!! Since 1977 I treasure so much my first trip out of Leon,Guanajuato in Mexico, thanks to my Canadian family "Don Betty Mike and Linda Lindsay" flew to Toronto, visited the Toronto Tower and of course the Niagara Falls and the three lakes and so many beautiful places. Now in Los Angeles I am very blessed to had made this my place to live the rest of my life!!
Love the beach and reasonable accommodations in beautiful Vero Beach. Has everything one could want or expect. The best of everything and so affordable.
