There wasn't much sites left from the hurricane but I still enjoyed myself. The beaches on the Biloxi side was much cleaner than at Gulfport.

ImageWe didn't go anywhere when we arrived there.  We drove 9 hours from where we live in Mo.  We did stop at the Biloxi Beach before we checked into our room and we were invited for supper at my husbands friends house.  Our Second day there we spent going to the beach in Gulfport and went to Hooters and the Navy Seabee Museum.  We went to the Edgewater Mall and cruise along the Beach Blvd. and saw the Biloxi Lighthouse and spent the evening at the pool.  The 3rd day there we went on a road trip to Mobile Alabama and Pensacola Florida.  That was only a 2 hour drive.   Along the way we stop in Moss Point, MS at the Alligator Farm and Airboat rides.  I really don't suggest that for anyone.  We took the  walk tour for $5 a person and it only lasted about 10 minutes. We drove through Mobile, AL and passed the  this huge Alabama Battleship.  It was so cool.  We didn't stop to see it but I wish we did.   In Pensacola we went to the Naval Aviation Museum which was very interesting.  When we got back to Biloxi we went to Outback to eat and then it was getting too dark to spend any time at the beach so we just spent the rest of the evening at the pool.  On our way home we stopped at the Beach and the kids gathered some sand to take back with them and we stopped at Dennys to eat breakfast and then we were off back to Mo.

Talk about this trip (4)
This was my first time seeing the ocean so I was very excited about that. The people here were very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. Louisiana, Alabama and Florida were only a couple of hours away so if you wanted to see other states like we did, than you could. Even though the hurricane wipe out a lot of the sites it still was a very memorable time for me and my family. I think I would return in a few years so that my husband and I can enjoy going to the Casinos down there.

I would not recommend the alligator farm either. As a matter of fact, I made sure I gave the place a bad review. The staff there is incredibly rude and obnoxious. I'm glad to hear you had a good time in Pensacola though!

The Mississippi Gulf Coast has a charm all it's own. It's quite different visually from Alabama and Florida, and there is much more to "The Coast" (as referred to by Mississippians) than just casinos. If you ever return, be sure to visit Bay St. Louis and Ocean Springs--they are lovely towns. Glad to hear you enjoyed the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola. It's excellent!
