Trip prep
How did we not realize that we would be at the Vatican on Easter weekend?! Oh, the perils of tuning out religious holidays. Since all I know about the Pope is that he allegedly wears Prada shoes, we're going to avoid the throngs seeking a papal blessing. We won't be missing out on the joys of Easter in a deeply Catholic country, but at least things will be a little bit more low-key in Florence. (Although I read that there might be fireworks?) I'll take a light show over an old man on a balcony any day.
