Around the World

Okay, here we go. After weeks of making arrangements my departure is imminent. This initial entry is to figure out how those of you who wish to follow this middle-aged wanderer on her travels can tune in.

I view this journey with a great deal of excitement as well as some trepidation. It isn't easy walking away from a career and friends to just 'be' for a while. After 30 years in the business community, I am undertaking my own spirit quest to fulfill a long time wish to travel around the world. Thirty years ago, as a young, newly degreed back-packer I started this journey from the east, running out of money in Bengla Desh. Not the best place to be broke! Since then I have been fortunate to see many places in the world both through my own devices and on expense accounts. I find it is always easier to travel on opm! However, at this point I am seeking something in between, looking for a level of safety and comfort, yet not wanting to break the bank or be in sterile environments avoiding any real adventures.
