Who hasn't dreamed of this? Venice in the evening, the sun is setting, you walk through the canals to find a piazza that has good local food, a glass of wine, and pasta!
We spent 4 full days here. We stayed in a pallazo in the Ghetto. At first I was afraid that we would be too far away from the "scene", but it turned out to be one of my best decisions. Each Venice area is only a Traghetto trip away from somewhere else magical. We got the 3 day pass, so did not have to worry about how many times we hopped on or off and went everywhere we wanted.
Early May is the perfect time to go. It's not too crowded or too hot and all the places are just getting ready for the onslaught of tourists. Venice is a bit expensive, but you couldn't buy the memories at any price. If you are wondering whether or not you should go, don't think about it, do it! ciao!
Bless you and your family, I will pray for you and your family. AWESOME pics, I'm looking to go sometime!
