Singapore in a day!!!
This is an action packed trip to conquer Singapore in a day but here is how we did it.
We travelled from Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur by bus to Singapore. The trip took about 6 hours. We got on the bus at 1 am Saturday morning and reached Singapore at 7 am the morning.
It took us 1 hour to take breakfast, exchange money and find out how to get to our first point of attraction, which is the Cable Car at Mount Faber. Eventually we got on bus 100 which took us to Harbourfront. You are able to catch the cable car to go to Sentosa from there but it only starts working from 9 am. With this in mind and seeing that it was only 8 am, we decided to take a 30 min walk up to Faber Mountain where you are able to catch the cable car as well. This is a beutiful site seeing route and it's a must see. The top of the mountain is a beautiful look out points where you can see the whole city all around.
At 9 am we went to the cable car and took the ride to Sentosa island. Although it is a fairly short trip in the air it has amazing views of the harbour and the city.
Most of the entertainment and interests on the island open at 10 am and we decided to take the walk through the bush to the beaches. The bush has the earth dragon, snake, skulls and waterfalls to view.
After walking to the beaches, we decided to go to the Merlion. We climbed one of the Sentosa busses to take us there, but we ended up at the Dolphin Lagoon. We were just in time to catch the 11 am show. Also a short half an hour show, but those dolphins are such amazing animals and worth every cent. You can also touch them!
With the purchase of Dolpin Lagoon show ticket it gives you a free pass into Underwater world, but before we got to it we stopped at the MerLion, which is the proud symbol of Singapore.
That concluded the Sentosa part of our Singapore trip.
We took the cable car back to Harbourfront, where we took the MRT train system to the inner city. After another 20 minute walk we reached the fountain of wealth. We also decided to take lunch at the mall.
We then took a cab to the China Town and then the MRT to theLittle India. Here I bought some souveniers to take with.
We finished our Singapore trip in great style as we walked along the Boat Quay and climbed on a bumboat ride along the the Singapore river which has also fantastic views.
With the Singapore trip behind us we now had to get back to Kuala Lumpur. We did this like a real road trip. We got on the MRT Train and got off at some station where we got on a bus to take us across the border to Johor or better known as JB Town (shortform of Johor Baru). At JB Town we took the Taxi to the main bus terminal where we purchased tickets back to KL.
This was a great trip and one that will stay in my mind forever. Thanks to my friend Sundhar who did this trip with me and made it a big success.
