My wife and I were celebrating our 2nd Anniversary so we decided to go to New York City. She was three months pregnant with our first child. We flew into LaGuardia and took a cab to the Milford Hotel a block from Time Square. The lobby of the hotel was impressive. It looked very high class. This is the only time I've been to New York city so maybe this is the norm, but our room as as tiny as you could get. There was no way the two of us could even be in the bathroom at the same time.
Once we checked in we decided to walk around to get our acquinted. We walked up Time Square and then north on Broadway past the Ed Sullivan Theater. Outside one of the staffers was offering tickets to the show the following day. So we signed up and then continued walking up to and around Central Park down the path to Columbus Circle. We then walked back to our hotel to get ready for dinner.
For Dinner we went to Blue Water Grill on a friends recommendation. It's located near Union Square. We must have been seated in the Jazz Dining Room as they had a two piece jazz band there. The band was good, our only complaint is that we were seated RIGHT next to them. The restaurant itself was dimly lit and the food was excellent.
