Loved the San Diego Airport...even their bathrooms were cool! We landed and called for our courtesy van from the rental car company....then waited and waited and waited! They did finally show up but then we had some trouble when we got there. They didn't have any Mustang's available which is what Josh had reserved. They ended up putting us in a Jeep Commander with the promise they would call as soon as a convertible Mustang showed up. The rental car place ends up being extremely close to Little Italy so we checked that out and were hungry so decided to try Filippi's on my brother and sister-in-laws recommendation. (They stayed in Coronado for their honeymoon and had Filippi's twice during their stay and loved it.) It was a really neat place...you can check out more pictures of it in the photo album on here.
We had the pepperoni pizza and it was very good. :) After that I think we checked into our hotel. They ended up discounting our parking rate to $5 a day (from $10) since we were Priority Club Members (signed up online before we left for free) so that was nice. :) The room was nice although we were on the 9th floor (with really slow elevators.) Good news is we never heard any freeway noise and had a view that wasn't the freeway. We unpacked and decided to head to Coronado.
