My husband, 7yr old and 3 1/2 yr old, went with my side on the family from 7/24-7/29. We arrived at 12pm Jamaican time, so our rooms weren't ready yet. No problem, we went to get some lunch and then went to the waterpark until 3pm. The rooms are outdated (cracks here and there) but NICE and CLEAN. We were in tower B second floor and really had no problem with noise. You could hear people in the hallways at night returning to their rooms, but they weren't loud.
Now for the food. We ate at the buffet most of the time and could always find something to eat. They had Jamaican food which was fun to try. The grill was fast food, the Jerk chicken was wonderful!! We did eat at the Italian restaurant which was Great. My husband had lamb chops! I has a pasta dish with dried tomatoes, yummy! My kids had spaghetti, and they loved it. Remember you are in Jamaica, there is no Filet Mignon! The drinks were good, not watered down unless you let the ice melt. I loved the Mid Day Coolers, yummy!
The resort, Beautiful! I always saw the staff picking up. Beaches were a little rockey due to shells, but this did not bother us one bit! The water was so warm, and calm. My children loved the beach!
The waterpark was fun for the kids ans adults. There are 2 water slides, and a lazy river. If you lay down on the water slide, you go pretty fast. If you sit up, you may get stuck. It was fun anyways.
This is a 3 star family resort. Great for families!!!!! There is not much of a night life, so I do not recommend this hotel for people looking for night life at the resort. We had a wonderful experience and would go back to this hotel. Jamaica what we saw of it was beautiful and the people that we met were nice.
We paid about $3200 for a family of 4 leaving out of BWI. We went through Liberty travel and transfers were included. Our parasailing was $60 for adult, $30 for child. The catamaran tour was about $40 a person.
