Comments Leading up to the Departure
Because i'm so funny and just realized it's best to do a journal instead of "comments" i'm adding my old comments as journal entries...
-We are currently at just under 4 weeks to go and planning so far has been fairly easy. We've planned only about 3 or 4 days and hopefully we'll map the rest out later this weekend. I'll post what the plan is once we have it all done. I had actually forgotten that I created this account a while back when we originally thought of going in Spring. Of course things change and now we are going in the summer. I do tend to worry how much money i need to take with me or should i say have available..
--17 Days and counting!! We've pretty much are done with our shopping, maybe just a couple things here and there that are left to get.
We have all of our Itinerary completed. We definetly are NOT packing too much into our trip. We actually want to ENJOY everything about Italy and it's great sights. Basically we want to remember everything in detail instead of just a blur. I think we did a great job in our planning process and definetly have some time to "get lost" and just go into random shops instead of feeling like we need to rush around to see everything.
I can't wait!! It's going to be so much fun and definetly an experience i'm looking forward to!
---Ok so we are officially now at 13 days!! OMG I can't freaking wait!! It just seems as the days get closer and closer it's really starting to become a reality!
I think I need to get my list ready of what I need to pack. Everything else is pretty much set, except a couple small things. The Itinarary is all set.. YEAY! I need to get the smaller luggage from my sister, and just start throwing a couple things in there. I don't think i'll be full packing until next weekend, though believe me i am so tempted to start packing RIGHT NOW!!!
Work is pretty much slow. I have EVERYTHING done and well I can now only sit here and just countdown the days!! ////siiigghhh//// I just start surfing looking up information on Italy. I'm just a little worried as far as getting to our hotel at each stop after that i wont be too worried about how 'lost' i get. It's just horrible being 'lost' while dragging a big old suitcase around.. know what I mean? Especially in Venice since we need to get to our Hotel by water taxi.
I've been practicing my Italian with some CD's and I have to say that i'm grateful for knowing Spanish cause it helps!! I'm hoping if our messed up Italian isn't understood then our Spanish and English will help. But I think we should be ok.
So I am off to "look" busy at work... and ahmm go search more stuff on Italy.. I think i'll be writing A LOT next week as the days get closer...

Thanks for the suggestion for my trip. We now plan to leave early a couple days just to avoid staying in Rome on Sunday and Monday.
I've just finished reading your trip journal. It's really useful for first time visitors like us. You had so much fun there, a little adventure too. Hope we will have as much fun as you just did.
