Buying Jewelry At The Ft. Worth Stockyards
UPDATE: We returned to the Ft. Worth Stockyards recently (date unknown at this time) and it truly was an interesting visit. I do have to note, however, that the Stockyards weren't as big as I imagined. A bad review, however, is that I purchased a beautiful pink CZ ring and was told by the jeweler (or sales associate) that it was sterling silver with platinum or rhodium plating. I recently found this wasn't true, especially since it turned my finger green and the "plating" began to wear off. Since I also own rings from Swarovski and QVC's Tacori collections, I KNOW that these platings do NOT wear as my CZ ring did. I fully intend to return the ring and either get a replacement or a refund. My warning - buy jewelry with caution at the Stockyards. (I had also inquired when I bought the ring, about the plating, since the metal did not bear the "925" sterling silver markings.) I should have known better.
