We chose to stay at the Royal Pacific Resort, one of the official Universal Studios resorts, because of the convenience for getting to and from the parks. Most importantly, we got the Express Pass, which we used both days at the parks and it was invaluable! We literally were able to go on every ride with plenty of time left over to go on our favorites a second time or head back to the hotel to get ready for a night out.
Typically, I wouldn't spend so much considering the room. It wasn't spectacular, but it was clean and nicely decorated. The resort as a whole was absolutely beautiful though!

The shuttle from the resort the parks was convenient and sometimes crowded, but we always got on the first time and escaped the light rain one afternoon.

We didn't take pictures of Universal Studios or Margaritaville, because we didn't want to carry the camera around with us. However, we had a wonderful time. Universal Studios was overcast for most of the day, but we were still able to enjoy everything. Our favorites were the Horror Make-Up Show, Mummy rollercoaster and Jaws.

After a tiring time at the park we had a delicious dinner at Margaritaville. I felt obligated to get a Cheeseburger in Paradise, but instead chose the Steak and Shrimp, which were perfectly done. Brad had the jambalya, which was also quite tastey. The margaritas flowed and the band was terrific! Being the old people we are, we were in bed early.
