This trip is only a week long, but would be better if we could spend more time there. Typically, I would like to spend 10-14 days, but due to other factors we could not do it this time.
Well, we left Chicago in a blizzard and are very happy to be here! Today is about 85 and sunny here in Keauhou. The Sheraton is nice, even though it is obviously an older building. So far, we've enjoyed the pool and the water slide immensely.
Well, we're home now and our trip was good except for a couple things... First, my son bumped into the sliding glass door at the hotel the morning after we arrived and shattered the door! Thank God he was not badly hurt, however it did pretty much ruin the first few days of our trip. Second, the hotel was a bit dissappointing... it was not a terrible hotel, just a bit dissappointing. It is noticably older, and in need of more renovations for some little annoying things - like one of the elevators not working properly and the floors, walls and ceilings of the rooms looking a bit old (stains on ceilings and carpet, etc.). The pool area was nice, but there was not a good variety or choice of restaurants on the hotel property. Valet service was very good and reasonably priced. Overall, I don't think I will stay here again.
I never been to Hawaii before and it will be the perfect time for me and see the other side of the world and see how they live i just need to know how much it costs to go for 2 weeks. My cousin already live there he's in the military and he won't be leaving there to the end of 2008.
