Finally, after all the planning... I can exhale. I'm hoping that my wife will be amazed at this getaway. She's definitly excited, and as always, trying to find out what's been planned. It's been hard trying to keep everything so secretive, especially when trying to get her clothes together for a whole weekend. I really want her 30th birthday to be the most memorable and exciting event she has experienced, so far.
Well, we got into DC a little late, but AKWAABA is absolutely breath taking and we quickly forgot all the traffic & drama of the day. Melody greeted us at the door, and provided superior service to us all weekend long! Our invited guests, were already at the house, so D'Otta was extremely surprised. Allen & Ronda, Mike & Sophia and Rich & Jocelyn stayed at Akwaaba w/ us. After happy hour, everyone relaxed for a bit before dinner.
We had 8:45 dinner reservations at Georgia Brown's. Rachel, Raynard, Brenden & Regina met us there to help celebrate. We had a really good time, just enjoying each other's company and the food wasn't bad either. From Georgia Brown's we headed up to FLY Lounge for some dancing. The club is small but very unique.
