It seems the journal is out of order. There is a second day journal listed but no details or information - only events for the third and fourth day. And what was the name of the great restaurant near the Witte Museum?
It was a good trip. If a person wants to go there alone and without car for 3 days just by bus and... how much will his trip cost? (consider minimum cheap things: inn, resturan,...)
There is no admission for the historic ALAMO. Perhaps the 10 dollars per person refers to the IMAX movie. Don't skip seeing the original Alamo if you are already there. It does have a gift store in a separate building.
I can't remember the name of the resturant, but it was a little whole in the wall. It was literally across the street from the Witte Museum. I have noooo idea what it would cost if you didn't have a car and took the bus everywhere, but that would save you on the price of parking. No there is no admission fee to the Alamo, but you can go to the IMAX theater and see the movie for like $10/person, which we opted not to do.
