Day Four

We decided to stay and extra day and take in some more sights, because 3 days after checking into our no tell hotel (Quality Inn off of I-10 in the medical area) and unpacked, we didn't have time to do anything else other then go to Wal-Mart, which luckly was behind the hotel.

On day four we went to see The Missions and had a wonderful tour guide that really pulled you into the history of Mission San Juan. This by the way was free. Then we drove about 5 miles to see Mission Concepcion, which is also beautiful, but nothing like Mission San Jose. If you only get to see one Mission, other than the Alamo, I recommend that you go to San Jose.

Just to let you know, other than our hotel room, which we did get a different room after the first night, Our trip only cost us $350 with gas included from Dallas area to SanAntonio. There are alot of deals to find in SanAntonio if you will just spend a little time to look.

It seems the journal is out of order. There is a second day journal listed but no details or information - only events for the third and fourth day. And what was the name of the great restaurant near the Witte Museum?

It was a good trip.
If a person wants to go there alone and without car for 3 days just by bus and... how much will his trip cost?
(consider minimum cheap things: inn, resturan,...)

Trip sounds good

Good trip although, I've never had to pay to get into the Alamo.

This is so cool.

There is no admission for the historic ALAMO. Perhaps the 10 dollars per person
refers to the IMAX movie. Don't skip seeing the original Alamo if you are already there. It does have a gift store in a separate building.

I can't remember the name of the resturant, but it was a little whole in the wall. It was literally across the street from the Witte Museum. I have noooo idea what it would cost if you didn't have a car and took the bus everywhere, but that would save you on the price of parking.
No there is no admission fee to the Alamo, but you can go to the IMAX theater and see the movie for like $10/person, which we opted not to do.
