Yay, it was my day to go London! I took the Metro North train to work, and anxiously sat at my des, waiting to leave (lol, I did work too). I left at 1:00 pm, took the company shuttle to NYC, and proceeded to walk from 48th St. to 42nd with my 22 inch carry on luggage. I ended up going to Penn Station and catching the LIRR to Jamaica Station, where I took the AirTrain to the Delta Terminal. Check in was absolutely horrendous, it took forever. Finally, after checking in and going through security, I waited to board the plane. Since I was early, I exchanged money. That was a devastating and depressing experience, since the dollar is doing so poorly.
I boarded the plane around 6:45, and it left at 7:00 pm. Imagine my delight when I realized that no one sitting in the seats next to me. Hehe, this allowed me to stretch out on THREE seats and sleep comfortably! Delta was pretty good, gave me all of the food and drinks I wanted. We landed in London around 7:30 AM.
From Gatwick Airport, I took the Gatwick Express train to Victoria Station. From there, I took a bus to Pickwick Hall. Well, I actually asked a woman which stop we were at and realized that I had completely missed my stop. So I had to walk to it, and I got a bit lost looking for the hotel. I finally ended up taking a cab to it. And so begins my amazing adventure...
Hope, wish & pray it will soon come true & not just a an impossible dream.
Why do they keep on talking about it? I also wondered why.
Just like you, I was also puzzled every time they try to conceal it when they include it
In the topic. All I know, This is the place for cheap breaks...
Just do a G00GLE search for “CheapHolauka” all one word and click the first site that comes up.
If you go in August, take note that alot of places are closed as it is their holiday/vacation season. You can pick up some great deals though if you time it right!
