i was the best man at my friends wedding, it was quick, but nice, it might rain, it did almost everyday but not long, you guys should ask to be upgraded to the royal service room, you'll like it alot! Pools were nice, ask to be close to the pool on the caribe side, the tropical side more for family's with kids. They are going to try and sell you a time share, we bought one and are going to paris this june. say hi to omega, nice guy! the grounds a very nice, they have thse trains that drop you off at different points around the resort, you can walk if you like, but after a few drinks, the train is a better idea. the casino was fun, a nice place to have a drink and get out of the hot night, they have a dance "bar" on the tropical side, i had a dj...if you start to crave an american beer, the store on the tropical side has different beers in it...it a secret. ATV's were really cool,speed boats were nice, and snorkaling was weird, i have never been, my first time, the coral looked like it was bleached, OR maybe because a strom was coming in, that;s why it looked funny, i was expecting bright colors a more livly sea..let me know. Don't be surprised if you see a few naked people around the pool or beach, they are there...if you tip a dollar everytime , you will get service a lot faster, and more often. water if free so drink up! Power might go out, so keep a candle handy, i think they give you one.

we are going to melia caribe tropical nov 07 to get married,realy nervous but would love to hear some feedback on anyone been there before,especialy to get married.

trip was great, the rooms at the Melia Caribe Tropical were nice, the people were friendly for the most part, food wass good, booze was good, rain everyday for about 20 mins the was vey humid, one night it rain a real lot, the power went out a few times, not really a big deal, i upgraded to the royal service, it gives you a much better room, you get your own butler, plasma tv, hottub, fridge with beer in it,water,soda,snacks..etc....you can call for a ride any time, and if you want to eat a a specfic place, royal service helps out alot, you don't have to call in advance. The speed boats were fun, atv's were really cool! Great place to hang out at, will go again!9 out 0f 10...
