Day 1
Indepedance Pass
Started out this AM in Sterling, CO at 7:00. Did a little detour in Wheatridge near Denver to find a comb. Then off to the hair raising INDEPENDANCE PASS! We also took a slight detour to look at buildings in Leadville. Cute little town. It seemed we missed our turn as the road was not very well marked as Hwy 82/24. Just when we were about to turn around HWY 82 appeared. A quick right and we were on our way! Independance Pass was not as hairy as other passes we have traveled. There were beatiful vistas an plenty of hiking/photo opportunities.
