The kids needed some inspiration, so we have given them a huge list of possible 'things to do' in each of the cities we will be visiting at Christmas (except Aix, which doesn't have a list available). Deb and I have been to Europe a number of times, but the kids only once before, when they were 13 and 11. Now they're 16 and 14 and can start to choose for themselves, so this list will narrow itself down a whole lot.
We have booked apartments in Rome and Paris, and hotels the other places.

The Bed & Breakfast is located in Palazzo Agostini, also known as Palazzo dell’ Ussero, with its fifteenth century façade and remains of the ancient city walls dating back to before 1155, when Pisa was an important Maritime republic. The façade is late-Gothic which in the 1400s alternated with the Renaissance style.
In the historic centre of Pisa, 1 km from Pisa rail station, 1.5 kms (5 minutes)from Pisa Airport, 80 kms (50 minutes) from Florence airport, 20 kms (15 minutes) from Livorno port - all can be reached by taxi. The natural park of San Rossore - Migliarino and Massaciuccoli is 3 kms out of town, the nearest beaches are 15 kms away , Versilia at 40 kms, the Apennines at 80 kms.
