Both sides of Niagara Falls are great to view the falls. The U.S. side offers an up close and personal view of the falls on Goat Island. You can almost reach out and touch the water as it goes by. The Canadian side offers a overall view. If you are looking for some family activities the Candadian side is your best bet. Be prepared to pay alot for a room in the summer. Book early to get the best deal. Also when using a credit card in Canada you will pay more because the credit card companies now charge a service fee. So bring cash and exchange it before you go. Don't use American money, most merchants don't give you a fair exchange rate.
Sounds like a great idea. I'd really love to see you all again. I've missed you all. If Pat doesn't have many expenses (medical) It's quite conceivable I could make it. If you find out the hotel rates or cabin rates as Brian suggested, please forward them to me. I imagine I'd have a price ceiling to work within. One request though-- PLEASE don't let Richard make microwave eggs -- THEY EXPLODE!!
There are several guest houses in the area that we could maybe rent for the weekend as well...That would be cool if they have one big enough otherwise maybe get a group rate at one of the hotel/motels
I don't think Canada has a passport requirement and the Canadian Dollar right now has a better exchange rate (1.108). Either way it doesn't atter to me I would love to see the falls again
Not sure if we should stay on the Canadian side or not. Not sure if it would be more money to stay in Canada, or by the time we go, will we need a passport? they say the canadian side is much more beautiful, and from what i'm finding the hotels are nicer in canada. please let me know.
