This is without a doubt the most boring travel account that I have EVER read. To travel hundreds of miles and tell the world about the boring food and drink that you consumed and about "dodgy" characters and to spell croissant as quassant and not one single interesting detail about anything else that you saw or did - my God, why bother! Why go anywhere?
Oh - and btw - you call it a trip to "Central Europe" - which was the only reason that I clicked on it - but the only bit of your journey that can be described as being in Central Europe was in Germany.
A great account of european camping! Quite the opposite of the earlier poster - I enjoyed your attention to the details of "real-life" on the road. It's sociologically astute, with no pretentions! My husband camped through europe after university some years ago, and still talks fondly of good beer, cheese, bread and fellow travelers - isn't that what it's all about (altho. we would add in hefty amounts of art - cheers!).
