Thu 08/24/06 (day 1)

Day 1, Getting to Vancouver

Day 1 was mostly a travel day. Storms in Chicago delayed our flight by 3 hours, so we didn't get into Vancouver until 8pm. We flew to Seattle to save airfare, and drove the 3 hours up to Canada.

Dinner was at Tacos Del Mar, because it was fast and close. It was nothing special.

We stayed at the Historic Downtown Ramada . It had comfortable, clean rooms, and was a pleasant place to stay.

Is this a very cold place, or did i read it wrong, 28 is pretty cold to be walking around a market.

very cool details of the trip. Thanks. I recommend to bike around Stanley Park to see more the beauty nestled in this park. The new bike trail will guide you through it. I'm visiting Vancouver for the New Year's and check out other places you guys enjoyed.

Nice pics... My friend was asking me about Vancouver. I haven't told him about it since I didn't go there yet. He's planning to go there and watch American football... He has no relatives there but he has foster parents there waiting for him. My friend is an Asian boy.

To visit Vancouver,flight from Chicago catched for Seattle.First we visited Seattle town and went around places.Next day drove to Vancouver by rental car,stayed there in hotel for 3days.Went around Vancouver town and seen Stanley park.Next day drove to Whisler skying resort.Driving anong mountain on one side with snow peaks and sea on othetr side was memorable.

Sking resort is very peaceful,went to top of hill by trolley.It was exited experience.

On return saw steam clock and harbour.

Vancouver town is beatiful city and people are very friendly and warming.

On return to Seattle,went up on needle point.
