About 5 hours drive brought us to Hershey. It was around 4-5pm but Hershey's chocolate world was still open because it was a busy Saturday, so we decided to pay a visit first before our actual Hershey's Park visit tomorrow.

It's a very chocolate/hershey's brand themed area. If you drive around you will see the different resort areas, the rollercoasters of Hershey park, Zoo entrance, botanical garden entrance. We were hoping to catch a glimpse of the garden from outside but it doesn't seem possible.
Anyway, we went through the free "chocolate factory" ride which began with some talking and singing cows, then in chocolate filled air, you see how the coco beans are processed and packaged into chocolate. Then a cow takes a souvenir picture for the whole car. Entire ride was accompanied by happy theme music. I sang it the next few days in our vacation !
You get a small pack of free chocolate on your way out. This was really nice, free and you get a souvenir!
We browsed the souvenir shop and got a hershey's chocolate milk, YUM! The other souvenir shop was very similar to the chocolate store in NYC.
Then we went to the 3-D show for 5.95. First a small introduction for adults explaining how Hershey came to be, then a 3-D show for kids very similar to any disney show. It's actually 4-D, if you go you will know or if you've been to Disney you will know. I don't recommend those that has been to the Disney show to see this, though, because...Disney's is really much much better in special effects and story and visual effects. (think of the Mickey Philharmagic)
also got free chocolate for the show. Everything was just sweetness.
Take care!
