Wonderful Day Trip
We started the day in Glenn Echo visiting Clara Barton's House and learning about the founding of the American Red Cross and her life. Wonderful historical site, takes about an hour to tour the house. You must tour the house with a ranger and tours begin on the hour with the last tour being at 4:00PM.
We then went to SPORTROCK in Rockville, and spent some time at their hard to find, but fun facility. I spent some time climbing the boulder mock ups and the walls while my wife watched somewhat bemused.
After that we journeyed up to the Tibetan Temple in Poolesville Maryland. This facility was curious and has a huge grounds meditation walk with stupas throughout. One huge Stupa located near the temple itself.
After which we returned to Virginia via the marvelous White's Ferry truly love this mode of crossing.
Ending the day in Berryville with dinner at Camino Real.
