Rocky Mountain Trip August 2006

First Day: Saturday August 12, 2006

The Pas to Edmonton :

Started @ 5:22 am at 393 km on Dodge Grand Caravan.

The Pas to Mafeking to Hudson Bay to Prince albert .

Reached at Hudson Bay 7:50 with km on 634 Km. Vina took steering wheel from Hudson Bay . Vina took two photo (Raj) with hail stack. We show a yellow small charter plane flying on farm with only 20’ ft height. We show 6 to 7 Deer one was with mother and small cute baby deer. Near Hudson Bay we shaw nice fluffy sheep team but Raj didn’t get change to take a picture because Vina was driving so faster.

At Melfort we had to take 90 degree spart right turn that is not clearly shown in map for Hwy 3. It is a very nice road between Hudson Bay and Prince Albert . It was a very bright and sunny day but with the same you can see nice cloud in the sky.

Passed... Mistatim- Tisdale- Melfort- Kinistino- Weldon- Birch Hills- Fenton- Davis in between Hudson Bay and Prince Albert .

Stopped at Prince Albert and filled out gas @ Petro canada . Reached at 10.30 am with 880 Km.

Price Albert to Admonton Trip:

One things we noticed about traffic difference in Saskatchewan is that traffic signal is alinged in horizantal direction instead.

Take off from Prince Albert on same Hwy 3 and left Prince Albert right after river bridge left turn on Hwy 3. Took Hwy 3 upto Shellbrook and after that we took Hwy 40 instead on leftside of Hwy 3 (44 km).

Passed 159 km (Prince Albert- Shellbrook- Parkside- Blain lake- Hafford- North Battelford) to join upto Canada National Highway 16. Stopped to take lunch at visitor center and took one photo of vina with RCMP rided on horse statue. Took bunch of informative travel magazine.

Took off from North Battelford and hwy 16 junction and leaded towards Edmonton on Canada National Hwy 16. We took ride on Canada National Hwy 16 route first time in Canada after 6 year. This is a very wide divided hwy ever seen before in life. Now it was only 398 km needed to pass to reach admonton. I was driving but I had gave steering to Vina in order to right journal and to take picture. It was nice and wonderful senery in between on Hwy 16. Vina took bunch of picture for memory.

After a long drive we reach to admonton but we didn’t get chance to take picture of Welcome to Edmonton because street entry was to busy. Hwy speed limit was 110 KM/ Hours and City speed limit was 60 KM/ Hours.

Reached at Edmonton at 5:15 and at 1470 KM from Thompson. Landed in Argyll Plaza Hotel and had a meal in subway nearby.

We had a lots of fun to watch TV, Talk arround to people in Hotel and etc...etc...
