Carmel

From Big Sur we started our drive back towards Monterey. On our way to Monterey we stopped at the Carmel Beach which is right on PCH 1. It was a small beach with some weird sand. Very few people were in the water. The water didn't look very clean.

I'm planning a trip to San Francisco and I'd like to include driving along High Way 1 as part of it. Anyone has some ideas about where to stay and what to visit? I'd like to go in late Feb and stay for 10 days for the trip. Thank you.
